It’s a new year and that means that some of the hit RTE shows are returning to our screens for a new season…
One of RTÉ’s most popular shows, First Dates Ireland, will return to our television screens this Thursday night at 9:30pm.
Wexford people will have a close eye on the show, as a familiar face could be appearing.
Wexford native Garry McCauley (73), from Enniscorthy, will be hoping to meet his match in the form of Mary (71), a marathon-runner from Galway on the show.
Mary and Garry will be one of three first dates that viewers will get to see when the show airs this week.
The show is now in its eight season.
Last year, a young Wexford man – who went by the name DJ Ciano – appeared on the show and viewers raved about his appearance on the show.
In related RTE news, a Wexford woman from Ferns has been selected as a leader for the show ‘Operation Transformation’ which starts on Wednesday.
