Bookies View Gorey Rangers As Outsiders To Claim FAI Junior Cup Title

Gorey Rangers are through to the semi-final stages of the FAI Junior Cup…

Gorey Rangers were victorious against Galway’s Colga FC at Ramstown on Sunday afternoon.

The Wexford side, and the only remaining Wexford representatives in the competition, won the FAI Junior Cup quarter-final on a score-line of 2-1.

They will be playing St Michaels AFC of Tipperary in the semi-final stages of the competition after the Tipperary side defeated Donegal’s Buncrana Hearts FC yesterday.

The bookies such as Paddy Power and Betfair have since updated their odds, and they view Gorey Rangers as the outsiders to claim the All-Ireland title.

Their next opponents, St Michaels AFC who they’ll play in the semi-final, are tipped as the favourites to win the competition outright.

Bookies odds:

St Michaels AFC 8/5

Ballynanty Rovers 23/10

Newmarket Celtic 10/3

Gorey Rangers 7/2
