Reck And O’Hanlon Return To Team, No Room For Fanning On Panel As Wexford Team Named

There’s a lot of excitement building ahead of the opening round of the Leinster Championship…

Wexford take on Galway this Saturday at 4:30pm in Pearse Stadium, Galway. For those not travelling to the game, there will be a pay-per-view stream available.

Darragh Egan has named a strong side for the opening round of the clash. There are noteable returns for Matthew O’Hanlon at wing-back and Damien Reck at centre-back, despite being both doubts leading into the game.

Oisin Foley is another player who is worth mentioning. Foley did not feature throughout the Allianz League campaign, but he did feature at wing-forward for Wexford’s clash against Tipperary in a now-infamous challenge game.

Both Chin and Rory O’Connor start in the attack, which can only be seen as a positive from a Wexford perspective.

Interestingly, goalkeeper Mark Fanning has not been named on the starting fifteen, nor has he been named on the bench for the first round of the championship. There has been unconfirmed reports that the Glynn-Barntown man has left the panel.
