The Wexford Senior Footballers overcame the underdogs tag and defeated Offaly on a score-line of 1-22 to 2-14 on Saturday…
It was a game that saw Wexford kick all of their scores, 1-22, from play, while it also saw Mark Rossiter nominated for the GAA Player of the Week.
Importantly, that game was in the preliminary quarter-final, so their win now places them into the quarter-final stages of the Tailteann Cup.
The draw for the quarter-finals was made this morning (Monday). It has been revealed that Wexford will take on Colm O’Rourke’s Meath in the Tailteann Cup quarter-final.
The date, time, andvenue for the clash has since been confirmed by the GAA.
The match will take place in Navan’s Pairc Tailteann, Meath, on Saturday 17th June, at 4pm.
Tailteann Cup Quarter-Finals:
Antrim vs Carlow
Meath vs Wexford
Limerick vs Laois
