John Hegarty’s Wexford Senior footballers took on Offaly on Saturday…
Incredibly, the Wexford Senior Footballers overcame the underdogs tag and defeated Offaly on a score-line of 1-22 to 2-14. More incredible was the fact that all of Wexford’s scores came from open play.
That game was in the preliminary quarter-final, so their win now places them into the quarter-final stages of the Tailteann Cup.
The draw for the quarter-finals was made this morning (Monday).
The games will take place next weekend, and the fixture details have since been confirmed by the CCCC.
Tailteann Cup Quarter-Finals:
Antrim vs Carlow
Meath vs Wexford
Limerick vs Laois
Cavan vs Down
