Wexford man called into Republic of Ireland Senior squad for Euro 2024 Qualifiers

A Wexford man has been called into the Republic of Ireland Senior squad…

Republic of Ireland Senior Men’s manager, Stephen Kenny, has called in a Wexford man into the 25-man squad for their upcoming qualifier games for Euro 2024.

Enniscorthy native, Festy Ebosele, has been drafted into the squad.

Ebosele has not yet made his debut for the Irish football team, but we had reported earlier, that given some of the injuries to Ireland’s defence and given the fact that Ebosele had been playing Serie A football, he was being considered by the Irish manager.

Should Ebosele make his debut, he will be the first Wexford man in the Ireland squad since Wexford native Kevin Doyle.

Ireland will take on France in Paris on Thursday, September 7th. Three days later, they’ll face the Netherlands at home in the Aviva Stadium.
