This would be some story to tell your mates in school…
And they wouldn’t believe you if you didn’t have the proof.
That is the case for 15-year old Wexford student, Conor Grant.
Conor, who is a Transition Year student at St Peters College in Wexford, became Motorsport Ireland’s Senior Champion.
Over the weekend, Conor was racing against people who had over 20 years experience on the tack, which exemplifies the extent of his victory.
Conor’s school, St Peter’s College, congratulated the young Wexford man on his win.
Writing in a Facebook post, Conor was quick to thank his Dad for everything that he has done for him, stating “thanks Dad, I couldn’t have done it without you.” Previously, his Dad stated that “helping his son” is his “second full-time job.”
Speaking on the victory, Conor’s Dad, Nigel Grant, stated:
“This past weekend was certainly our biggest achievement to date. My son won the Senior X30 Irish National Championship and he did it in style. 6 years of hard work & we have learned so much together. Much like a business, each person has a role to play & the team all operate like a well oiled machine – I cannot thank each one of them enough. I am so proud of him & cannot wait to begin the next chapter together,” he said.
