A young Wexford man was presented with a significant national award recently..

On Wednesday night in Dublin, 16-year-old Conor Grant was presented with the The Jordan Trophy as the 2023 Senior Champion for Motorsport Ireland which he won in September.

Conor Grant is the Motorsport Ireland X30 Senior Champion 2023 & races with Odhran Henry Racing.

Speaking about his pride after collecting the award, he said:

“It was a very proud moment for me, my family and my team. Keeping this title in the team for the second year in a row is a real honour for me.”

“We worked so hard this year and it resulted in a convincing championship win. I couldn’t have done it without my parents (Back of House Ireland) Nuala Grant who put everything into this for me and my sister who supports everything I do.”

“Thank you also to Odhran Henry, who has taught me so much in the last 6 years and to all the Odhran Henry Racing – OHR for the support. Finally to my sponsors SumUp, we couldn’t do it without you. I am very excited about what the future holds,” Conor said.

It’s an exciting time for the young Wexford man who is still just a Transition Year student at St Peters College in Wexford. His future knows no bounds.
