Wexford vs Galway Leinster Hurling Championship game to be billed as double-header

With Wexford’s campaign in the Allianz Hurling League over, attention now turns to the Leinster Hurling Championship…

In round 3, Wexford are set to take on Galway in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday May 4th at Chadwick’s Wexford Park. The game has been pencilled in for a throw-in at 4pm.

Ahead of that game, the Wexford Senior hurlers will be playing at home to Dublin in the opening round, and then away to Antrim in the next round.

It has now been confirmed that the Wexford minor hurlers will also take on Galway on the same date. The minor game between Wexford and Galway throws in at 1.30pm

In the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship, Wexford are in Tier 1, with Dublin, Galway, and Kilkenny.

A big crowd will be expected in Wexford Park, and it’s great that a double-header between the two teams could be arranged to create a better spectacle on the day.
