Wexford minor hurlers and footballers opponents revealed for next Leinster Championship clash

The Wexford Minor hurling and footballers have found out their next opponents…

Both the Wexford minor hurling team and the Wexford minor football team will be out in action in the Leinster Championship again soon.

Yesterday, neighbours Wicklow had an excellent and dominant win over Carlow. This result has placed Wexford in second place of their group. The result placed Wexford into a preliminary quarter-final will be away to Meath on the evening of Wednesday April 24. The match has been fixed for the Donaghamore-Ashbourne GAA club grounds, with a throw-in time of 7.30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Wexford Minor hurlers will be in action against Dublin this weekend. Although they take on the same opponents as their Senior counter-parts during the same weekend, it unfortunately will not be double-header. Instead, the match takes place on Saturday 20th April in Parnell Park at 2 p.m. The Wexford minors are in a group of four in Tier 1 of the competition, with the other sides involved being Kilkenny and Galway. The top two in the group will qualify for the provincial semi-finals, while the teams finishing third and fourth will have to play quarter-finals against a team emerging from Tier 2.

Despite the result, the Wexford minor hurlers will take on Kilkenny at home in Wexford Park the following week on 27th April followed by Galway, also at home in Wexford Park, on May 4th.
