One Wexford hurler has been named on the GAA.ie’s Hurling Team of the Week…
Faythe Harriers club man, Lee Chin, has been named in the centre-forward position on the Hurling Team of the Week after a powerful performance against Dublin.
Chin scored 1-11 and was pivotal for Wexford, scoring all of Wexford’s scores up until the 23rd minute mark. He won Wexford’s penalty and then rattled the net within the opening minute of the game after a tustle with Dublin’s full back, Eoghan O’Donnell.
One of the moments of the match came in the first half when Chin jumped high into the sky to catch a Wexford puck-out before calmly slotting the ball over the bar, in what was probably the score of the match.
The Wexford attacker has also been nominated for the Hurler of the Week. Chin has been nominated alongside Jamie Barron of Waterford and Limerick’s Gearoid Hegarty. Those interested in voting, need to vote over on the GAA’s Official Instagram page.
Rory O’Connor, who scored 0-04 from play, should count himself unlucky not to be named on the team following his performance against Dublin.

Wexford only managed a draw against Dublin after conceding two late goals, but they will look to bounce back when they travel to Corrigan Park in Antrim next weekend.
