The sun is out and people are flocking to the beaches again…
But, some people in this quiet but popular area of Wexford should take notice to a new alert issued today (Monday June 10th) by Wexford County Council.
The Wexford County Council has issued a “Do not swim” notice for St Helen’s Beach.
St Helens Bay & Beach Rosslare is located in Rosslare and is a popular swimming destination for locals and tourists alike.
The notice was issued after testing which was conducted as part of the Council’s normal monitoring of bathing water quality showed increased levels of e-coli bacteria.
Samples have been taken today and results are expected on Wed 12th June at which stage the bathing prohibition notices will be reviewed.
