Keith Rossiter will have sleepless nights over O’Connor’s dismissal

Wexford lost out to Clare in the All-Ireland hurling quarter-final on Saturday…

A crucial moment in the game came in the opening 20 seconds and in the final stages of the first half.

Referee Johnny Murphy gave Rory O’Connor a yellow card for what he deemed to be a high tackle. Many believed that the yellow card wasn’t justified so early in the game and that a warning would have been more suitable.

One of those people was Wexford manager who said he will have “sleepless nights” over the decision, with the first yellow card being “a bit soft and that it “was an arm tackle.”

Clare now advance into the All Ireland semi final, while Wexford’s hurling campaign is over for another year.
