Wexford Park to host Guinness World Record breaking attempt in August

The home of Wexford GAA, Wexford Park, will play host to a Guinness World Record breaking attempt in August…

Wexford Park will be hosting an event in conjunction with Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann.

The Fleadh, which takes place in Wexford this August, will attempt to get into the Guinness Book of records this summer.

On Thursday, 8th August, Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann will attempt to become the largest group playing tin whistles for over a continuous 5-minute period!

Organised by Comhaltas Ceoltórí Éireann and the FEC, this world record attempt invites tin whistle players of all ages to participate.

To make history and to get into the record books, they need 1,200 people to break the record, so bring your tin whistle, your friends and your love of music.

On the day, they will be playing The Boys (and Girls!) of Wexford and Dawning of the Day March.

Registration for the event takes place at 4:30pm, with the start time at 5pm in Wexford Park. To sign up and to potentially become part of history, you need to fill in the registration form which is linked here.
