Former Wexford hurler helps club team become American Senior hurling champions

A former Wexford hurler enjoyed some success abroad recently…

The former Wexford inter-county hurler was involved with the San Francisco GAA team which claimed their second successive American Senior Hurling Championship.

Jack Guiney, who hails from the Rathnure GAA club in County Wexford, enjoyed more success with his new team over the weekend.

Guiney was playing with the Tipperary Hurling Club, based in San Francisco in the United States, as they won the USGAA Senior hurling championship.

The USGAA are the governing body of Gaelic Sports in America, responsible for promoting the sports of Hurling and Gaelic Football in the United States

It’s the second year in a row that San Francisco have won the Senior Hurling Championship in America.

The former Wexford star can be seen here below, wearing number 23, to the right of the squad photo while they were celebrating with both the Intermediate and the Senior Championship trophies.
