Two Wexford natives win Rugby Championship in Australia

The Wexford sporting success continues…

Only recently, two Wexford natives were apart of the European Touch Rugby Championships, Jack Guiney helped San Fran win the American Hurling Championship, Sophie Becker represented the county in athletics with distinction, while Gorey boxer Kayleigh Byrne won another national boxing title.

On the rugby front abroad, two Wexford natives got their hands on silverware on Saturday, which took place at Millner Field in Marsfield.

Gorey native Dan O’Leary and Enniscorthy native Michael Farrell were part of the Sydney Irish Rugby Football team that won the Clark Cup after they defeated the Sydney Oysters in the New South Wales Grade I Grand Final.
