Multiple young Wexford girls to compete at World Championships in Portugal

Multiple young Wexford girls will be competing at the World Championships in Portugal later today…

They will compete at the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships 2024 which will be held in Guimarães, Portugal.

Five Wexford gymnasts along side their coach, Aoife D’Alton, have been selected to represent Ireland at the World’s 2024.

Aoibhe Ormonde and Emma Gaffney will compete in the “Women’s Pairs”, 12-18 age group.

Meanwhile, Sarah Murphy, Katie Moran and Nykia Quigley will compete in the 13-19 age “Women’s Group” category.

It is a huge achievement for both groups to be selected to represent their country. Here’s hoping that they’ll bring home some medals too.
