
The Wexford FC Men’s team had a huge game on Friday night in Ferrycarrig Park.
The in-form Wexford FC team took on Treaty Untied from Limerick in Ferrycarrig Park, battling it out for a place in the FAI Senior Cup semi-finals against one of the big hitters.
Wexford FC made easy work of their opponents, getting off to a great start with two early goals from Isamala (9th) and Oluwa on the 11th minute.
Their first half exploits would not stop there though and Wexford’s dominance continued in front of a crowd of over 1,000 people at Ferrycarrig Park.
Two more goals came before the referee’s half-time whistle from the same pair. Both Isamala and Oluwa found the net once again, on the 27th minute mark and on the 45th minute mark respectively.
Treaty United scored a consolation goal right at the end of the game, courtesy of Vrljicak on the 89th minute mark – but Wexford were well and truly on their way.

Last night’s victory marked Wexford’s seventh win on the bounce across all competitions for James Keddy’s men, who described their win over Treaty United as their “most complete performance of the season” when speaking to Beat 102-103 after the game.

In the other quarter-finals, Drogheda defeated Athlone 4-1 in the derby clash, Bohemians enjoyed a solid 4-0 win over UCD, while Derry City and Shelbourne battled it out in the remaining quarter-final, which seen Derry City emerge victorious.
Excitement is already building for Wexford FC’s FAI Cup Semi-final clash, a feat which will be the first-time in the club’s history.
The semi final draw took place on RTE2 after the Derry City – Shelbourne quarter-final.
Wexford FC have been drawn against Drogheda United in the FAI Cup semi-final.
It means Wexford FC are now just one game away from a Cup Final clash set to take place at the Aviva Stadium.
