Get your dancing shoes on and get ready to jive…
Although it was always popular in Ireland, jiving has no doubt gained in popularity again in recent times.
A Wexford pub, now under new ownership, have stated that jiving lessons will be available at their premises for the foreseeable future.
K&M Jiving have revealed that they will be doing jiving lessons at The Bunker Bar, a pub just outside of Gorey town. K&M Jiving is the brainchild of both Katelyn Farrell and Megan O’Brien, two self-confessed dancing enthusiasts. The pair said that they will be covering everything from jiving, line dancing, quick steps, and waltz’s.
“We are starting dance classes in The Bunker Bar Gorey on Monday the 30th of September from 8-9:30. We will be covering everything from jiving, line dancing, quick steps and waltz’s. Both beginners and advanced are welcome and will be catered for.”
No previous experience will be necessary to join in with the dancing, while you also don’t need a partner – as they’ll become available on the evening. Both Katelyn and Megan of K&M Jiving just ask that you bring your dancing shoes and get ready for an excellent evening of entertainment.
The first jiving sessions starts Monday 30th September at 8pm.
It costs €10 per person, while u18’s and OAP’s €5.
