Change in ownership for popular take-away in New Ross

There’s more changes in the world of business in Wexford…

Popular take-away hotspot, MT Bellies, is now under new ownership.

Visit New Ross, a local agency which promotes all-things New Ross, broke the news that MT Bellies is now under the new ownership of Stefan Epure.

Taking over from Shawn Murray, who owns take-away MT Bellies and runs Murrays pub and nightclub, Stefan has already put his stamp on MT Bellies.

Previously known and highly regarded for their fish and chips, MT Bellies is now offering a range of other alternatives that’s sure to hit the right spot.

While keeping some of the classics on the menu, Stefan has introduced loaded baked potatoes, which he has labelled as a “game changer.”

“The potatoes are baked, then scooped out and mixed with butter, cheese, and toppings like taco. The beans have also been very popular,” he told Visit New Ross.

Loaded potatoes have gained a lot of notoriety in recent times, with ‘Spudman’ in England becoming a viral TikTok sensation for the loaded potatoes that he sells to the public from his food van.

New business owner Stefan also plans to expand the menu in the coming weeks, adding pasta dishes and pizzas, including a gigantic 28-inch wagon-wheel pizza.

MT Bellies is located on 7 North Street, New Ross.
