
Wexford FC are through to the FAI Senior Cup semi-final for the first time in the club’s history…
The team, managed by James Keddy, have been drawn against Drogheda United in the semi-final after easy dismantling Treaty United in their quarter-final clash in Ferrycarrig Park. Unfortunately, this time around, Wexford FC will be on the road, with Drogheda United FC securing home advantage from the recently-held draw.
Wexford FC defeated Limerick side, Treaty United, 4-1 in the quarter-final, with all four goals coming before the half-time mark.
A new opportunity has now arisen though. Wexford FC are just one game away from a Cup final at the Aviva Stadium and currently on a nine-streak unbeaten run, they will fancy their chances in Drogheda, despite the tag of underdogs.
Drogheda United will host Wexford FC on Sunday, October 6th 2024. Kick-off is at 14.50pm, while the turnstiles will open for fans at 13.50pm.
Tickets can now be purchased online. Standard tickets cost €20, while there are concessions for both students and OAPs. Some sections have already sold out.
