Opponent revealed for Wexford boxer David ‘Bomber’ Kennedy’s first pro fight

A Wexford boxer has decided to turn professional…

Gorey boxer, David ‘Bomber’ Kennedy announced just over one month ago that he is turning professional and his first professional fight is now only around the corner.

David ‘Bomber’ Kennedy will be fighting in the “Warehouse” at the Red Cow Complex in Dublin. The fight will take place on the card entitled ‘Make or Break’, which will be taking place on Friday October 4th, an event promoted by JB Promotions.

In our exclusive interview with ‘Bomber’ upon the news that the Gorey man was turning professional, he shared his excitement and his reasons for turning pro.

One thing he wasn’t aware of at the time of writing was his opponent. However, news has since emerged that Kennedy’s opponent for his first professional fight has been revealed any last minute further preparations can get underway.

In his first pro fight, which will be well-attended by his strong fan base in Wexford, Kennedy is pencilled in to take on Polish boxer, Michal Malicki.

Malicki is a 32-year old, who stands at 5’11, and was born in Wrzesnia in Poland. Still fresh in the pro-ranks, Malicki made his professional boxing debut in April of this year. To date, he has a professional record of 1 win and 3 losses.

The bout is scheduled to be a four round fight.
