A Wexford native will be making his professional boxing debut this weekend…
Who is it?
His name is David ‘Bomber’ Kennedy. Just over one month ago, Bomber announced that he is turning professional. Now, his professional debut boxing fight has arrived.
About him?
Kenned is 28 years of age. He is from Gorey town in County Wexford. ‘Bomber’ enjoyed a lot of success in the amateur ranks, specifically when he was younger. He took a break from boxing, but upon his return, he claimed a national title and won the Celtic Box Cup title within his first year back in the ring.
Where and when will he be fighting?
He will be fighting in the “Warehouse” of the Red Cow in Dublin this Friday, October 4th. The card is entitled “Make or Break.”
What time is the event running?
As per their event schedule, it will be running from 5:30PM – 11:15PM (Irish time).
Tickets?
No tickets are remaining. Kennedy sold all of his batches, highlighting his popularity and the excitement across the locality.
Who is Kennedy fighting?
Kennedy is pencilled in to take on Polish boxer, Michal Malicki. Malicki is a 32-year old born, who stands at 5’11, and was born in Wrzesnia in Poland. Still fresh in the pro-ranks, Malicki made his professional boxing debut in April of this year. To date, he has a professional record of 1 win and 3 losses.
When is Kennedy fighting?
Kennedy will be early on the card. Although the full timing schedule has not been released yet, it is believed that he should be making the ring-walk at about 6-6:30pm.

Senan Kelly against Matthew Tyndall is the main card, fighting for the Boxing Union of Ireland Irish Welter title. Meanwhile, Sean Murray will take on Daniel O’Sullivan – two unbeaten boxers – for the Boxing Union of Ireland Celtic Super Welter. There are eight fights in total on the card. It is being promoted by JB Promotions, a promotion that hopes to have multiple events on in 2025.
