The fireworks display in Wexford has become a regular October feature and it’s a display that excites not only locals, but people from a far that come to the show too.
The fireworks display acts as an opener for the inaugural Wexford Opera House Festival.
Some locals were questioning if the fireworks display was going ahead this year, as nothing was announced and not many details were shared.
However, on Monday evening, the Wexford Opera House has announced that the fireworks display will be returning again this year as part of the opening ceremony of the festival.
It was confirmed that the fireworks display will take place at 7:15pm on Wexford’s quay front, this Friday October 18th.
Many people gather on the bridge or on the quays to watch the incredible display. For those interesting in attending, make sure to get there earlier as parking spaces are limited and it tends to be quite a busy time around the town.
