
There’s some changes coming for the u-20 hurling set up in Wexford…
The Wexford u-20 hurling set up was managed by Buffers Alley clubman Aidan O’Connor.
However, it has now been confirmed that O’Connor have stepped away from the role, leading to a new management team for the Wexford u-20 hurling set-up.
“The chairman expressed his sincere thanks to Aidan O’Connor who has stepped down from role as U20 manager. He also thanked their backroom teams for their efforts and diligence to working for Wexford hurling,” the statement read.
Wexford man O’Connor took charge of the Wexford u-20 hurling team in November 2023, lasting one year at the helm. He filled the role after Keith Rossiter was appointed as the new Wexford Senior hurling manager, having managed the Wexford u-20s for two years previous.
The new management set-up for the Wexford u-20 hurling team was confirmed at the most recent Wexford GAA County Board meeting, held in Chadwicks Wexford Park on Tuesday 15th October.
The new Wexford u-20 hurling management team will consist of Ronan Joyce as manager, who hails form the Shelamliers GAA club. He will be assisted by Roger Ennis (Horeswood); Benny Barron (Shelmalier), while another meber of the Wexford u-20 hurling management team is still to be added.
