Met Eireann issue Status Orange weather warning for Wexford this weekend

It’s not the end of the weather warnings just yet…

Irish weather forecaster, Met Éireann, have issued a Status Orange weather warning for Wexford this weekend.

The weather warning comes in place as Storm Darragh approaches the country.

A Status Orange wind warning has been issued for Wexford, alongside some other counties. The other two counties under the same warning include neighbours, Wicklow and Waterford.

The Irish weather forecaster, Met Eireann, have stated that some of the potential impacts will include “fallen trees,” “damage to power lines,” “difficult driving conditions,” “damage to temporary structures,” and “wave overtopping.”

The weather warning is valid from 00:00 Saturday 07/12/2024 to 09:00 Saturday 07/12/2024.

On Friday, Wexford will be under a Status Yellow wind warning along with all of the other counties in Ireland. This warning is in place from 3pm on Friday to 3pm on Saturday.
