Gorey gets new Maxol as Arklow Rd site officially launched

Gorey residents got “Bags More” choice and value as Maxol Arklow Road, Gorey was officially launched recently…

To celebrate the launch, South East Radio’s Lee Hynes broadcast live from the buzzy and busy Maxol Arklow Road on December 24th, where shoppers were treated to bags more prizes and store vouchers, along with complimentary mince pies, Keogh’s crisps and freshly made deli festive treats.

Maxol Arklow Road, Gorey, now features all new Maxol branding, a state-of-the-art ROSA Coffee station, including Maxol’s new oat coffee, and a Maxol Deli, which offers an extensive range of hot and cold food options to cater for every mealtime.

Customers will also get value during their every-day top up shopping at Wexford’s newest Maxol, right on their doorstep, with an array of delicious homegrown products and produce to choose from.

With a high footfall and a loyal customer base, Kevin Frayne has been operating Maxol Arklow Road since taking over the business in August. The Wexford man, who is also the Licensee of the sister Maxol service station on the Dublin Road, Gorey, is well known for his work at the heart of the community:

“We are thrilled to be working with a family-owned, community-focused company like Maxol, which has been operating in Ireland for over 104 years,” said Kevin. “It was fantastic to welcome South East Radio to the store and to be able to thank the local community for their support with lots of gifts and prizes throughout the day.  We have an amazing team that will continue to look after all of our customers, ensuring they will get bags more choice, convenience and value, as well as top-tier service.”

Maxol Arklow Road, Gorey, is one of seven sites acquired by the Maxol Group this year, bringing to 250 Maxol’s nationwide network of sites across the island of Ireland.

The multi-million Euro investment announced by CEO, Brian Donaldson in July is part of Maxol’s €100m 2023-2027 investment strategy for growth announced last year and will expand the family-owned retailer’s portfolio in the Leinster region, including Wexford.
