The new studio, located at the Wexford Arts Centre, will provide a space for Wexford musicians to practice and rehearse.
The initiative is supported by the Arts Office of Wexford County Council, and it is located in the heart of Wexford town, providing an affordable outlet for budding musicians and for local Wexford musicians to improve.
Speaking about the initiative, Wexford County Council said:
“The Arts Office of Wexford County Council is delighted to announce that the Westgate Music Rehearsal Space is now available for local music artists to use at subsidised rates provided by the Arts Office and managed by our partner Wexford Arts Centre.”
It is a new music rehearsal space is located next to the historic Selskar Abbey in Wexford town. It is rehearsal space and no equipment is provided, but musicians are welcome to bring their own equipment to practice.
One of the best things about the space is its affordability. It is available for a half day rental for €25, full day for €45 or weekly booking for €150.
“It is located next to the recently opened Westgate Visual artists Studios and is a very welcome addition to Wexford town, supporting a vibrant arts community and also contributing to the regeneration of the town in this important historic and cultural area,” Wexford County Council said.
