Wexford’s Katie Daly’s to re-open under new management

A popular Wexford restaurant recently closed its doors…

To the upset of Wexford locals, Katie Daly’s pub and restaurant in the heart of Gorey town in County Wexford had closed its doors with “immediate effect” last month.

The owners took to social media to share the devastating news, having operated in the town for 14 years. Known for their hospitality and their tasty food offerings, Katie Daly’s became a staple in the town and it was much-loved by its customers.

“Due to the current economic climate and the issues that hospitality is facing nationwide, it is no longer sustainable for us to continue.

“To all of our customers, particularly our local customers, your custom allowed us to trade for 14 wonderful years.

“Thank you for sharing all your special occasions with us, for the laughter, the joy, and your support over the years.

“Katie Daly’s was more than just a restaurant and bar in Gorey, it was a place where memories were made, cheers were shared and friendships were forged,” the statement read.

However, it has since been revealed that Katie Daly’s will be returning. It will be re-opening under new management.

No details have been released about their opening date as of yet, other than that they will be “reopening soon.”
