Howden Ireland has agreed to acquire a Wexford-based insurance firm…

Howden Ireland announced today that it has agreed terms to acquire Roban Insurances Ltd trading as Roban Financial Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.

Howden is one of Ireland’s fastest-growing Insurance intermediaries and is gaining pace in the Advisory sector. Since its inception in 2019, today it has over 500 employees in 27 local offices across Ireland firmly establishing their plans to have a Howden office in every main town in Ireland.

Subject to regulatory approval, acquiring Roban Financial gives Howden’s already significant client base in the South- East access to Financial Advisory and Insurance services. Operating since 1984 Roban Financial with Myles Roban Managing Director at the helm, they specialise in financial planning and wealth management services.

Dermot Gaskin, Managing Director, Howden Advisory speaking about this acquisition said:

They will help us deliver our promise to bring a full spectrum of Financial Advisory Services and insurance offerings to clients right across the country and in this case, to our clients in the South- East. We look forward to working with Myles and his team.”

Already with a significant presence in Wexford and surrounding counties, this is a very positive enhancement for our business and our employees but especially our clients. Howden’s global access to markets will give us the ability to provide more options for clients. We look forward to working with Dermot and his Advisory leadership team,” Myles said.
