
Two Wexford school hurling teams were recently crowned South Leinster Hurling Champions…
Coláiste an Átha, in the village of Kilmuckridge, defeated Ballyhale (Kilkenny) school Scoil Aireagal on a score-line of 3-17 to 2-18 in the South Leinster Senior final which took place in Nowlan Park on Tuesday afternoon.
Seven students from the Buffers Alley GAA club made up the starting fifteen, while the remaining players on the starting fifteen were from the Oulart The Ballagh GAA Club. The winning team for Colaiste an Atha was:

Team: Rhys Whelan Byrne, Tiernan Troy, Feidhlim Proctor Laird, Liam Carty, Jamie Murphy, Kevin Doran, Carter Tohill, James O’Leary, Donncha Proctor Laird, Daniel Dempsey, Martin Kisov, Sean Stamp, Callum Dickson, Ciaran Murphy, Tomas Walsh.
Subs: Ryan Codd, Billy Holmes, Jake Naughter, Oisin Bater, Eoin Doyle.
It wasn’t the only victory for a Wexford school in the South Leinster final though.
Gorey’s Creagh College 2nd year Hurling team also had a great win over Pres. DLS Bagenalstown in the South Leinster 2nd year hurling final on Tuesday afternoon too. The score-line read DLS 1-8 to Creagh 4-12.
