All you need to know ahead of the Wexford-Kilkenny game

Wexford will take on Kilkenny in the final round of the Leinster Championship this weekend, which will also be Wexford’s last game of the 2025 season…

Keith Rossiter’s Wexford Senior hurling team will welcome the old enemy, Kilkenny, to Wexford Park this weekend – but unfortunately, there is nothing on the line for either team. Kilkenny are already through to the Leinster final – and sit on the top of the table with eight points, while Wexford’s disappointing losses to both Dublin and Galway have meant that they cannot qualify for the All-Ireland stages. It’s a dead-rubber for both teams.

When is it on?

It’s on Sunday, 25th May. Throw-in is at 2pm.

Where is it on?

Wexford Park.

Is it on tv?

RTÉ had originally pencilled both the Dublin vs Galway game and the Wexford vs Kilkenny games as options to broadcast live. As the Wexford vs Kilkenny game is a dead-rubber – and as the Dublin vs Galway game is now essentially a Leinster final, they have chosen the Galway vs Dublin game. The Wexford vs Kilkenny match will not be shown live on RTE.

Is it being streamed?

No, the Wexford-Kilkenny match has not been selected for streaming on GAA+. There is no option to watch this game anywhere.

What’s the Wexford team?

What’s the Kilkenny team?

Kilkenny are already in the Leinster final for 2025 – and even though this game is a dead rubber – they will be hoping to continue building momentum ahead of their Leinster final clash. Players will be eager to keep their place on the team, while their subs will be eager to impress Derek Lyng as they attempt to place down a marker.

Betting odds?

Kilkenny are favourites for this clash. Kilkenny enter the clash as 4/7 favourites, a Wexford win can be secured at 5/2, while a draw is priced at 10/1 at most major bookmakers.
