Local artist to hold art exhibition dedicated to Wexford in Dún Laoghaire

A Wexford artist is hosting a solo exhibition in Dún Laoghaire Institute of Visual Arts (DIVA) next week. ‘Save the Date’ will feature a series of works inspired by Wexford town…

Ross Bradley has been involved in the Wexford art scene for several years. His work featured in Green Acres Gallery’s Open Submission Show in 2024 and 2025 as well as the third edition of The Wexford Bohemian (2022).  His work has also been published in Suboart Magazine (2025) and Metachrosis Literary Magazine (2023).

Once a student of Dún Laoghaire’s Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), Bradley is returning to Dún Laoghaire on May 28th to open his latest solo exhibition. ‘Save the Date’ will kick off at 6pm on May 28th and run until Saturday May 31st in the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Visual Arts building (DIVA). DIVA, located at 24 Mellifont Avenue, describes itself as a newly renovated arts centre “home to all kinds of young artists, where friendships are formed and new talents are unleashed”.

The exhibition will feature 45 original artworks inspired by Wexford town and the theme of memory. On his professional website, Bradley described what visitors can expect to see:

“Through my love of visual arts, I have always documented my opinions, feelings, and experiences through my life, and setting this artwork up would be a summary of these experiences.

Over 45 artworks will be displayed on gallery walls, showing a mixture of hyperrealism, surrealism, and impressionistic style storytelling with pencil drawings.

Memory will be a core theme of this exhibition. A lot of these artworks are obscured, often with a blurry, out of focused visual element.

‘Although we don’t remember specific details of an event, we still can heavily grasp the feeling of the memory, no matter how obscured details may be,” he told Wexford Weekly.
