Wexford will take on Fermanagh this weekend in the Tailteann Cup…

It’s the final group game of the Tailteann Cup for Wexford. Wexford easily dismantled Longford in the opening round of the Tailteann Cup. In their previous clash, John Hegarty’s side drew against Carlow. The last time Wexford played in Croke Park was the Division 4 Allianz League Final, which seen the Yellowbellies lose out to Limerick.

It will take place on Sunday, 1st June at 1:45pm.

Yes, there is a double-header in Croke Park. Wexford’s game against Fermanagh will be the curtain-raiser for the Dublin vs Armagh.

Wexford sit on top of the Tailteann Cup table. However, it’s very close. A loss against Fermanagh could see Wexford’s exit from the Tailteann Cup for 2025. Carlow, who will be expected to win – tipped as 1/3 favourites – will take on Longford.  The top two teams from each group proceed to one of four knockout quarter-finals matches, followed by semi-finals and the final. Should Wexford lose, they will be placed into a preliminary quarter-final. win for Wexford over Fermanagh will see them advance into the quarter-final stages of the competition.
