The Nose of Tralee 2025 has officially entered its most exciting stage – the public voting…
The Nose of Tralee, now in its 12th year, is a nationwide celebration of Ireland’s much loved pets. After hundreds of entries and public voting and judging, the final 32 Noses, one from each county in Ireland, have been chosen.
One Wexford dog, Bella, owned by Aoife Cleere from Wexford town, has been named as finalist in the competition to represent Wexford.
“Bella is a miniature Jack Russell with a huge and loving personality. Her unique sassy personality makes her the favourite with all her human cousins! She loves to play, and will always sit and give both paws for treats. She has the kindest heart and loves to snuggle under blankets (all of which she thinks she owns). Her favourite pastime is de-fluffing teddies which her mammy brings her back from holidays, creating a major clean up operation each time,” Aoife told Wexford Weekly.

Now it’s up to the public to decide who will become Ireland’s most beloved pet.
Voting is open from 24th July until 5pm on 18th August 2025.
This year’s finalists include a mix of dogs, cats, and even a goat – proving once again that Ireland’s pets are as diverse as they are adorable.
Kate McQuillan, organiser of the Nose of Tralee and owner of Pet Sitters Ireland, said:
“The Nose of Tralee is always such a special event for us. The support from every corner of the country this year has been incredible – people are so proud of their local finalists. I can’t wait to see if this year’s winner will be a cat, dog, or maybe even our first ever goat Nose of Tralee!”
The winner will be announced on the 19th August live on social media.
