Wexford woman claims ‘Best Dressed Lady’ during Ladies Day at Wexford Races

Wexford Racecourse was awash with style, glamour, and excitement on Friday, August 29, 2025, as Ladies Day drew crowds from near and far….

Guests dazzled in vibrant fashion and elegant headpieces, creating a wonderful atmosphere that lit up Bettyville Park from start to finish.

The Best Dressed Lady title was awarded to Anne Dalton from Wexford, who impressed the judges in a striking purple floral dress paired with a vintage lace shawl, matching gloves, and a standout hat in white and blush pink.

Anne, attending as a first-time finalist, was joined by her mother Peg, who also made it through to the final in a vibrant pink outfit. Anne took home an incredible prize bundle, including a two-night stay with dinner at the Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort, as well as gifts from New Mood Boutique, Landa Handbags, Slaney View Motors, All About Nectar, and more.

The Best Hat prize went to Tina Hemlock from Cork, who wowed the judges with a unique wicker and black creation by Elizabeth Christina Designs, marking her first-ever races win.

Judging on the day was carried out by MC Marietta Doran, who commented:

“From breathtaking outfits to the electric atmosphere, it’s been a day full of sparkles, smiles, and sensational style.”
