The Gorey Yellow Belly Comedy Festival returns for its fourth year this autumn, kicking off on Friday, 19th September 2025, with another stellar line-up of Ireland’s finest comedic talent and 5 nights of entertainment to look forward to….
Proudly supported by Wexford County Council and delivered in conjunction with the Ashdown Park Hotel, Loch Garman Arms, The 64, and new for this year, Browne’s Bar, the festival promises a week of side-splitting laughter in the heart of Gorey throughout September and October.
The 2025 programme combines some of Ireland’s best-loved comedians with exciting new talent, featuring stand-out performances from Cornelius Patrick O’Sullivan, Enya Martin, Pat McDonnell, Colin Murphy, and the much-loved Neil Delamere, who makes a welcome return to headline the Gala Night at the Ashdown Park Hotel on Sunday, 19th September.
A major new addition for 2025 is the “Stand Up and Coming” night at the Loch Garman Arms, dedicated to showcasing Ireland’s emerging comedic voices. This exciting new platform shines a spotlight on rising stars and offers audiences the chance to see the next generation of Irish comedy in action.
Speaking to Wexford Weekly, District Manager of Gorey Kilmuckridge Municipal District, Anita McLoughlin welcomed the festival’s return, saying:
“The Gorey Yellow Belly Comedy Festival is a fantastic example of collaboration between local businesses to encourage visitors and overnight stays during the shoulder season to the town of Gorey. We are delighted to see the return of our longstanding venue partners and to welcome Browne’s Bar on board for 2025.”
