Wexford man Jamie is continuing to fight for his life

Wexford man Jamie Kavanagh is fighting for his life, after having two brain tumours removed — and he urgently needs help…

He’s raising funds to purchase a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) chamber, a medical device that could dramatically improve his health and give him a real chance at a longer, better life.

HBOT isn’t just a treatment—it’s hope. It involves breathing 100% oxygen while being in a pressurised chamber, allowing the body to heal in ways that aren’t possible otherwise. It’s used to treat chronic wounds, infections, radiation damage, and more. For Jamie, it could mean less pain, more strength, and more time.

But this isn’t just about Jamie. He’s committed to sharing the chamber with others who are suffering—turning his personal battle into a lifeline for many.

Jamie was diagnosed with a brain tumour 2021, which was removed, all was well until another tumour was diagnosed in December 2024 and once again removed with major surgery followed by Chemotherapy and Radio Therapy. Jamie is keeping his spirits up but is doing his best with treatment to put off another tumour appearing. His medical team are providing great care, medication and treatment.

Only 5% of people with this specific type of diagnosis survive past two years. Jamie is three years into this now and is fighting with everything he has to keep new brain tumours at bay.

Jamie has a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) chamber on loan but has to return it shortly.

The Hyperbaric Chamber costs €45,000 which is Jamie’s target. Over €5k has already been donated to the online donation platform.
