It’s the first game of the season which kickstarts Wexford journey for 2026 and in Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League.
Where?
It’s in Wexford Park.
What date?
Saturday, Jan 24th 2026
What time?
Throw in is set for 4pm
Is it important?
Wexford were relegated from Division 1A last year. If Wexford are serious about retaining their status in the top tier (Division 1A), then a win against Antrim at home is a must. Wexford’s two toughest clashes will come against Dublin and Clare, both of which are away matches for Wexford. It’s also an important game for many Wexford individuals, who are likely to be making their debut for the youthful and inexperienced Wexford Senior hurling side.
It’s the first Allianz League game of the season – and Wexford will be wanting to start it off on a positive note during a time when the conversations surrounding the hurling team are at a low ebb. Wexford’s former manager, Davy Fitzgerald, will be on the sidelines again for the visiting outfit and he’ll view this as one that the Saffrons can win.
What are the betting odds?
Despite the fact that Wexford will be missing some key players, and that Wexford will be starting with a youthful and inexperienced side, the bookies still view the hosts as strong favourites. Wexford enter the clash as 4/11 favourites, the draw can be secured at 9/1, while an Antrim win is priced at 5/2.
What’s the Wexford team?
The Wexford team will be named here once released to the media.
Is it on tv? Or will it be streamed?
No, this match will not be shown on Tv nor will it be streamed on any platform.
It will not be on terrestial tv. It also has not been selected for streaming on GAA+. Meanwhile, Clubber TV will not be showing the Allianz League games.
However, live commentary of the game will be live on South East Radio.
