Keith Rossiter makes 2 changes to Wexford’s starting team to take on Down

The Wexford Senior hurlers will take on Down this weekend…

It’s the second round of the Allianz Hurling League (1B). In their previous clash, Wexford won the game with the last puck courtesy of goalkeeper Mark Fanning.

Attention for Keith Rossiter and the Wexford Senior hurlers now quickly turn to their next game against Down (away). Throw-in is set for 2pm and Wexford are strong favourites to emerge victorious.

Wexford manager Rossiter has made two changes from last weekend’s win against Antrim.

Philip Dempsey (St Martins) replaces Niall Murpy (Ferns) in the wing-back position, while the rest of the backs remain unchanged from last week’s encounter. The Shelmaliers pair of Ross Banville and Conor Hearne start in the midfield once again.

In attack, there are some positional changes – but the only swap from the bench is Darren Codd. St Martins man Codd comes on for Fethard’s Cian Byrne.
