The 10th season of the Richie Dwyer Over 35s will kick off this Friday, 1 May 2026….
The upcoming season will see a league record eighteen teams and 462 players compete over the summer months to try and win one of the four trophies on offer.
This year sees four new teams enter the League. They include Arklow Celtic, Bunclody AFC, Camolin Celtic and North End Utd. They will also be joined by Fastnet and New Ross Celtic who are re-joining the League after not competing for a couple of years, while most of last year’s side return for more action.
The League stages will see the sides spilt into 3 groups of 6, where they will play each other once. The groups are drawn up regionally; this includes the North of the County, the middle third and then then South.
Speaking to Wexford Weekly, League Chairman Joe Doyle said:
“I am delighted to see the increase of teams in the League and I’m looking forward to the season ahead. Thanks also to last year’s sponsors who have committed to working with the league again this summer. Well done also to the hard working committee for their tireless work in getting everything in place for the start of the league,” Joe said.
