Leinster Minor hurling semi-final fixture details confirmed for Wexford

The Wexford minor hurling team have booked their place in the Leinster semi-final…

After an excellent comeback against Kilkenny in Wexford Park, the Wexford Minor hurling team, managed by JJ Doyle, will now look forward to a place in the semi-finals.

Wexford came from eight points down to defeat the Cats by 1-19 to 1-17 at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

Four teams made it through to the semi-finals. They include Wexford, Kilkenny, Dublin and Galway. Wexford needed a win against Kilkenny to book their place in the semi-final stages, with Westmeath narrowly missing out due to Wexford’s superior scoring difference.

Wexford’s Leinster Minor hurling semi-final fixture has now been confirmed.

Semi-final: Wexford vs Galway

Date: 9 May 2026

Time: 12 noon

Venue: O’Moore Park, Laois

It looks like Galway’s vice-captain, Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh, could be ruled out of the Leinster semi-final against Wexford after picking up a hamstring injury in their most recent stalemate clash against Dublin over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Dublin will take on Kilkenny in the other semi-final in Parnell Park at the same date and time.

The Leinster Minor hurling final will take place the following week, on Saturday 16 May.
