County Wexford is celebrating this week after local rugby talent Robyn O’Connor was named Rugby Players Ireland Women’s XV Young Player of the Year.
The prestigious award caps off an outstanding season for the Wexford Wanderers star, who made her Six Nations debut and scored a try during the campaign.
She capped her breakthrough year with a standout try-scoring performance in front of a sell-out crowd of over 31,000 fans at the Aviva Stadium.
Wexford Wanderers said the club is “immensely proud” of their young player, describing her achievement as a huge inspiration for aspiring rugby players across the county.
