The Clovelly to expand into new third Wexford location

A County Wexford coffee shop is set to continue their expansion…

Owned by former Wexford hurler and current St Martins hurler, Joe O’Connor, The Clovelly is a “speciality coffee house serving consistently good coffee, açai bowls and toasties.”

The Clovelly currently operates out of two locations in County Wexford. The first is in Wexford town on Common Quay Street (Y35 P520), while the other is in Piercestown in the Old School House (Y35 PHR9).

However, news has since broke that The Clovelly are set to expand even further in Wexford town, as they are set to take over at the old Hapur Eleven building on Peter Street.

In 2023, O’Connor left his role as a full-time teacher to pursue his passion — coffee — and ultimately, the business.

O’Connor had a coffee van before he went to Australia a number of years ago, which was the start of it all, but he decided to sell up before moving abroad.

It was a tatste of what was to come though.

Upon his return to Ireland, he started The Clovelly and it has only gone from strength to strength — with the new coffee shop in a third location in County Wexford being representative of that.
