We’re now into the semi-final stages of both the Wexford Senior hurling and Wexford Senior football championships…
The good news is that Wexford football fans will have a double-header to look forward to at Wexford Park this weekend.
Castletown will take on St Martins in the first semi-final. This will take place in Wexford Park at 3pm, on Sunday October 4th.
Following that clash, another mouth-watering clash between Shelmaliers and Kilanerin will take place. Throw-in for this clash is at 4:45pm, Sunday, October 4th.
These are four teams that many would have predicted at the start of the year to make the semi-final stages.
With the Wexford Senior Footballers playing in Division 2 of the Allianz Football League for the upcoming season, and off the back to two back-to-back promotions, there’s a renewed lease of energy about football within the county.
