In 2014, Wexford went on a memorable run in the qualifiers after the Senior hurlers attained wins against Clare and Waterford respectively.
Although they lost out heavily to Limerick in the All-Ireland quarter-final, it was certainly a year to remember for those in the purple and gold. Pride was restored in the county and Wexford hurling was rejuvenated.
One player that encapsulated that memorable year was Gorey local, Conor McDonald who displayed unbelievable skill and performances throughout the year on a national stage.
