
Two camogie players from Wexford have been handed individual honours…
Two Wexford camogie players have been given individual accolades after they were both named on the third-level (university/college) Team of the Year for 2026.
Keeva Steadmond (Craanford), who played in goal throughout the college campaign with DCU, has been named as the Goalkeeper of the year. The Craanford woman is alos the vice-captain for the Wexford u-23 team for the 2026 season.
Meanwhile, Karen Tomkins of the Askamore/Kilrush GAA Club — and who also represented DCU throughout the campaign — has been named in the centre-back position. Karen is the u23 captain for Wexford for the 2026 season.
They join players from Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny, Cork, Waterford, Galway, Tipperary, Antrim and Limerick.
This year’s Electric Ireland Camogie Third Level Rising Star Player of the Year is UCC’s Sarah O’Brien.

These players have distinguished themselves on the field across a fiercely competitive campaign.
