A weather warning has been issued for Wexford as Storm Dave is set to bring severe conditions on Saturday…

According to Irish weather forecaster, Met Éireann, very strong southerly winds will develop from 14:00 on 4 April, veering westerly by the evening.

The storm is expected to generate severe gusts and coastal gales, creating hazardous conditions throughout the county.

Wexford, along with the entire island of Ireland, will be under a Status Yellow weather warning.

Potential impacts include fallen trees and branches, wave overtopping in coastal areas, and difficult travelling conditions.

Authorities have also warned that debris and loose objects may be displaced due to the ուժ of the winds.

The warning remains in effect until 23:00 on Saturday night.

Residents are advised to take precautions and stay updated as conditions develop.
