It looks like Davy Fitzgerald has already found a replacement…
Waterford’s Stephen Molumphy has departed Wexford’s backroom staff, and he will take up a role in his home county of Waterford under the new reigns of Liam Cahill.
Molumphy teamed up with Fitzgerald last year, and the former Déise star helped guide the Yellowbellies to their first Leinster title since 2004.
Waterford’s new manager, Liam Cahill, will replace Pauric Fanning in the role of Waterford Senior Hurling manager.
Pauric Fanning, who took over from Derek McGrath in 2018, worked with Davy Fitzgerald during his infancy at Wexford. The Wexford People are reporting that with Molumphy’s departure, it’s now looking like Fanning will rejoin Davy’s backroom for the upcoming season.
He would rejoin Saoirse Bulfin, JJ Doyle, Keith Rossitter and Mags D’arcy to name just a few in Fitzgerald’s backroom team.
