Major Boost For Bunclody Ahead Of This Weekend’s Intermediate Hurling Final

Bunclody have been handed a major boost ahead of the Intermediate Hurling final, which takes place this Sunday…

HWH Bunclody emerged victorious over Buffers-Alley in the Intermediate Hurling semi-final last weekend.

Unfortunately for HWH Bunclody though, one of their key players was sent off in the second-half.

Sean Kenny, who has been pivotal to Bunclody’s success this season, received a straight red by referee Brendan Martin 49 minutes into the game.

It has now emerged that Kenny’s red-card has been rescinded and that he’ll be available to feature in Bunclody’s upcoming Intermediate final against Cloughbawn.

A win for HWH Bunclody would see them promoted to the Senior ranks of the Wexford Hurling Championship for the first time since 2011.

Meanwhile, St Martins are similarly sweating on the availability of Rory O’Connor, who is currently appealing his straight red card that he recieved against Ferns St Aidans.
